Social Awareness Program (2022)

Dimapur being the commercial hub and as part of Golden Triangle, has attracted a lot of social evils. The main social issues are substance abuse and alcoholism. Drugs are being smuggled from cross borders and Dimapur has become the source of supplies to rest of the country. The youth get easy excess to different types drugs and are addicted to it.

Nagaland is a dry state but Dimapur being the border with Assam which is a wet state, easily get all types of liquor from the border. Almost in every nuke or corner in Dimapur, there is black liquor shop. This has contributed more to the problem of Alcoholism in the district. Thus, to reduce the rate of addiction to substance abuse and Alcoholism, WWS has conducted 31 awareness programs with 950 participants in the current financial year 2022-23.
